Please note: No previous leadership or volunteer experience is required to apply, and you DO NOT have to be nominated to apply. The questions herein are intended to help us assess how best to manage and customize the learning experience for our participants. We strive to have well-rounded classes that balance emerging leaders with experienced leaders. A lack of formal leadership training, education, volunteer service, or experience does not mean that you will not be accepted and should not deter individuals from applying.

Individuals selected to be part of the Institute will be notified of their acceptance via email on or before September 15, 2025.

 

Waco Foundation underwrites the $1,500 tuition for each participant, therefore there is no direct cost for our selected participants. Due to this, applicants are asked to commit to all training dates (to the best of their knowledge at the time of application) when applying. Up to three excused absences are permitted during the term but will require make-up sessions to meet the 40 hour requirement necessary to receive a certificate of completion for the Institute.

Participants are required to attend the session they are accepted to (preferences are accommodated when possible). Morning sessions are held from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and evening sessions are held from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. All sessions have been condensed from 8-hour to 4-hour sessions to accommodate participants' schedules better, in turn, each session is material intensive.

The application is open from July 1, 2025 through September 1, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.
